The Canterberry Crossing Metropolitan District II is a Title 32 Special District that has been established for the purpose of financing and installing street, park and recreation, water, sanitation, and transportation improvements of the District; and all other improvements or services permitted by Article 1, Title 32, C.R.S. (collectively, the “Public Improvements and Services”), except as specifically limited by the First Modified Service Plan for the District, approved by the Town of Parker on December 17, 2001, as it may be further modified or amended from time to time (the “Service Plan”).

The Public Improvements and Services are for the use and benefit of the residents and taxpayers of the District. The District is located in the Town of Parker, Douglas County, Colorado. The District is a quasi-municipal political subdivision of the State of Colorado authorized to provide specialized services that the Town of Parker or Douglas County does not provide.

The District may incur a maximum debt of $13,000,000. The District may impose a mill levy on taxable property within its boundaries, and may also use various other revenue sources authorized by law, including fees, to repay such debt.

The District may assess a maximum mill levy of 35 mills, as adjusted after July 17, 2000, to repay such debt.

Under the Service Plan, and state statute, the District must file an Annual Report to the Town of Parker and to the Douglas County Clerk & Recorder.

The District’s boundaries overlap with the boundaries of Douglas County; South Metro Fire Rescue Fire Protection District; Parker Water & Sanitation District; Douglas County School District; Douglas Public Library District; Town of Parker; Urban Drainage & Flood Control District; Regional Transportation District; Douglas County Soil Conservation District; Cherry Creek Basin Water Quality Authority; and Urban Drainage & Flood South Platte.
